Entry requirements:

Upper second or first class bachelors' degree or international equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. economics, accountancy, finance, operations research, statistics or mathematics).

Applicants whose first language is not English or who have not been educated previously in English will need to attain ONE of the following:
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) an overall band of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each component skill
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) of 92 with no less than 21 in listening, 21 in reading, 23 in speaking and 22 in writing

Programme specification:

The programme will:

- offer a broad scope for training in economics providing students with a mixture of modules taken from the Academic Unit of Health Economics in the Institute of Health Sciences, the Leeds University Business School, and the Institute of Transport Studies
- encourage students to complete their dissertation as part of a summer research in academic research units, health care organisations, and pharmaceutical companies
- enhance career prospects as MSc graduates in health economics likely to find a job quickly after graduation in view of the general shortage of health economists within the UK and worldwide.
