Programme specification:
The programme will provide students with:
- an opportunity to take courses from other Schools and Faculties within the framework of the unique BSc in Nanotechnology offered at Leeds, giving insight into how Physics interacts with other disciplines at its boundaries;
- the opportunity of planning and executing a major project, involving either original research or a thorough literature review of an advanced topic in physics and nanoscience;
- the opportunity of developing independent learning skills and of acquiring information technology and communication skills, including the presentation of work in both written and spoken form;
- an opportunity to spend 10 months in a UK company, research institute or medical centre to gain work experience related to their discipline (Industrial version only).

- For students on, or considering transferring to, the MPhys programme: Students on the MPhys must achieve an average mark of more than 59% in their second year modules to proceed with the MPhys programme of study.
- If a student has an average mark of between 55% and 59% he/she can apply for consideration to continue on the MPhys.
