Entry requirements:

1. A 2:1 or equivalent in a business related subject. Must have a good grounding in quantitative subjects with good scores in these subjects, e.g. passes at good 2.1 grade in quantitative modules at undergraduate level.

2. Sufficient proficiency in English as evidenced by one of the following:
2.1 The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), administered by the Educational Testing Service in the US. For the internet based test (TOEFL iBT) applicants must achieve a minimum overall score of 92 with a minimum of 21 in Listening, 21 in Reading, 23 in Speaking and 22 in Writing.

2.2 The International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) test, administered by the British Council, in which scores of 6 or more in each section and an overall score of 6.5 are required.

2.3 Other equivalent English language qualifications accepted by LUBS.

Programme specification:

The MSc Strategic Management in the Global Environment is designed to help students develop an overall appreciation of the importance of strategy for businesses and the skill-set required when competing globally. Along those lines, the students are assisted in realizing their potential for leadership and strategic judgement. They will develop a unique blend of skills combining mastery of analytical tools and techniques with in-depth understanding of the nature of strategy formulation and implementation.

On completion of the programme, our students will:
PA1. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging theories, techniques and practices in strategic management, and the ability to apply these theories in a global professional setting

PA2. Be aware of the complexity of the global marketplace and their implications for cross-cultural strategies

PA3. Be proactive and articulate problem solvers with the ability to critically evaluate and formulate solutions to complex strategic management problems

PA4. Be enquiring and critical researchers, able to synthesise information from a range of sources and identify the implications thereof

PA5. Be effective and professional communicators of findings and recommendations in a clear and cogent manner

PA6. Be ethical practitioners in line with accepted codes and regulations in strategic management globally and be able to articulate the consequences of unethical behaviour

PA7. Be knowledgeable and skilled graduates, prepared for a career as professional business strategists, capable of leading strategic initiatives in the current fast-paced global organisations
