A 2.2 honours degree or equivalent in a textile-related discipline, management, business studies or other related science, engineering or social science subject. Non-standard entry will be considered. International students whose first language is not English must also satisfy the University of Leeds requirement for English language. IELTS (6.5 overall with not less than 6.0 in all components); TOEFL iBT (92 overall with at least 21 in listening and reading, 23 in speaking, and 22 in writing).

MSc/PGDip Textiles
This MSc delivers the latest information on different areas of the textile industry using novel teaching material and it has received praise from both academia and industry.
New textile product development requires technology and design technology interface. This flexible course allows you to specialise in either Textile Design Technology or in Textile Technology. You will receive training in key skills including laboratory practice, problem solving, and reasoning, and you will undertake a substantial research dissertation.
Textile Design Technology Pathway:
In the textile industry, there is a pressing need for people who can facilitate the translation of creative solutions from designers into manufacturing language and data. This pathway will suit designers wishing to improve their technological knowledge, technologists wishing to understand the design process, and anyone else who seeks a career in this design/technology interface.
Textile Technology Pathway:
You will gain in-depth knowledge of advanced textile technology, textile processes and quality management together with the science, technology and testing of functional textile materials, product development, coloration and finishing processes, medical textiles, nonwovens and performance clothing.
This course is accredited by the Society of Dyers and Colourists and by The Textile Institute.
