Programme specification:
This programme is for candidates who are already or hope to be involved in TESOL teacher education. There is increasing international concern with issues of quality and provision in teacher education, and a growing literature on teacher knowledge and teacher learning within the TESOL area as well as more generally.
Students on this programme follow MA TESOL provision in the first semester and in the second are required to take the two consecutive modules on teacher education. In addition, the critical study is written in an area of teacher education. Graduates from this programme should be better equipped to act as teacher educators and/or as researchers in this growing field.
