Entry requirements:
- Applicants should hold a recognised professional qualification in the area of mental health or social care as per the guidance of the professional body the Association for Family Therapy (AFT) who accredit Family Therapy training courses in the UK.
- Applicants should hold a first degree or be able to demonstrate their ability to work at a postgraduate level. Exceptional candidates, experienced and working in the field but not holding a professional qualification and/or degree are also accepted on the basis of widening participation to the field and may then be able to progress to further training to the MSc (qualifying level) course subject to AFT guidance.

Programme specification:
The programme fulfils the requirements of the Association for Family Therapy, Foundation and Intermediate Level training in Family and Systemic Therapy.
The programme is multi-disciplinary and covers aspects of working with families in clinical settings as well as wider applications of systemic thinking and practice.
