Entry requirements:
Grades AAA at A-level (excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking), plus at least a grade B in English and grade A in Mathematics at GCSE level (or equivalent for international students) if Mathematics is not offered at AS or A level.
When English is not the first language, students will need to provide evidence of English language ability, either directly from a partner university or through qualifications such as TOEFL (score of 580 overall and 4.5 in the Test of Written English) and IELTS (score of 6.5 overall, with no skill below 6.0), all in accordance with standard LUBS entry requirements and policy.

Programme specification:
At the end of the programme students should:
- have gained a deep knowledge and understanding of both theoretical and applied branches of economics, corporate finance and international capital markets;
- have a thorough understanding of other specialist subjects within the field including the economic analysis of monetary policy, the economic and financial foundations of firms, financial markets and financial institutions as well as provide competence in the core practice skills for a career in economics and finance;
- have demonstrated qualitative and quantitative skills in the research, in-depth analysis and in the presentation of topics in economics and finance, culminating in a substantial final year dissertation;
- be able to demonstrate communication, presentational, IT and other transferable skills that are highly valued by employers in a wide range of career choices
