Entry requirements:

Entry Requirements
- 3 A levels grade CCC or equivalent e.g. Access to HE Diploma with 60 credits overall and 45 credits at level 3 of which 25 must be at Merit or above.
BTEC: Merit, Merit, Merit
GCSE English grade A*- C or 9 - 4 or equivalent or IELTS 7.0 with not less than 6.5 in each component
GCSE Maths grade A*- C or 9 - 4 or equivalent
Additional entry criteria
As well as the academic requirements above, you must live permanently in the UK and meet at least one of the following:
- your permanent address is in a neighborhood with low progression to higher education
- you attended a school which achieved less than the national average of 5 A* - C or 9 - 4 passes (including English and Maths) at GCSE
- you grew up in public care
Further consideration will be given to the life experience of mature applicants and the circumstances in which they gained prior qualifications. We offer non standard entry through successful completion of the University of Leeds Alternative Entry Scheme.
Candidates meet the above entry criteria will be interviewed.

LLLC 1371 covers the same subject area as ARAB 1001 but at a reduced intensity to suit part-time students and those not following either the Arabic & Middle Eastern Studies or Arabic & Islamic Studies programmes.

Candidates wishing to progress to Islamic Studies will also be required to study 20 either credits from the following modules or may choose 10 credits from this list and 10 credits of discovery modules
