Programme specification:
This is one of the longest-established and best-recruiting taught MA programmes in English Literature.
The programme provides students with the opportunity to study English Literature at postgraduate level. Students select from a wide range of specialist options in the subject area and have the opportunity to draw on the exceptional richness and diversity of expertise and the wide range of intellectual and social activities available within one of the largest and most successful Schools of English in the country.
Students write a research project / dissertation on a subject of their choice (within any area of English Literature) with the assistance of specialist supervision and the research resources of the University's Brotherton Library.
This distinctive programme allows students to develop an existing enthusiasm for English Literature and to explore further those areas of the subject which may not have figured significantly in their undergraduate programme. It affords an excellent platform for work at doctoral level.
