Entry requirements:
Successful completion of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners Postgraduate Diploma.
English requirements for candidates for whom English is not their first language:
IELTS: 7.0 overall with no less than 6.5 in listening any component.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) of 87 (with no less than 20 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 21 in writing)
TOEFL Internet-based Test: 100 overall with no less than 24 in Listening, 21 in Reading, 22 in Writing and 26 in Speaking.

Only recruit General Dental Practitioners who are diplomats of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS). As a group they are well informed, high quality, educated professionals. The University of Leeds is one of only a few UK Universities having this type of programme with the FGDP RCS. As a result, the programme has the potential to enhance the reputation of the University of Leeds for postgraduate education among important opinion formers from General Dental Practice.
