Part time variant at level 1 is the Certificate in Human Geography. Upon successful completion of this candidates are allowed on to level 2 of the BA Geography programme.

Programme specification:

The programme will:
i) enable students to use geographical methods to analyse the relationships between human societies, places and environments;
ii) enable students to reflect in a critical manner upon issues and concepts in human geography, both in the scholarly literature, and in real world contexts;
iii) enable students to develop skills in information technology, numeracy, fieldwork, and interpersonal and communication skills;
iv) prepare students for the world of work or for further study, and to develop an appreciation of the value of life-long learning and education to themselves and the wider community.
