- Consolidate complementary expertise in 'values'/ethics from the subject areas of Philosophy and TRS to form a research-led, research-based programme.
- Provide a stimulating and coherent programme of study which supports the development of critical evaluation, research, presentation and problem-solving skills alongside personal development by permitting the pursuit of individual interests through a managed choice of modules focused on 'values'.
- Increase students' Graduate Prospects by providing not only a firm grounding for further interdisciplinary study or further study in either discipline, but also a suitable preparation for various graduate careers involving Human Resources, social awareness or community outreach dimensions, as well as those with ethical or strategic planning dimensions.
