Programme specification:

The BSc Business Management is custom-designed for part-time students to enable them to gain a Business Management qualification from one of the world's leading universities whilst continuing in their work. It builds on the knowledge and skills of those who already have experience of working in an organisation or those with supervisory or management roles whilst developing professional practice through engagement with the latest research and theoretical understandings.
From the outset, students are supported in the acquisition of skills for successful university-level study. The programme begins with a module on Professional Development which aims to develop both academic and professional skills. The assessments for each module are designed to develop a sound, critical understanding of both the theory and practice of business management. Skills in research and independent learning are further developed through the Research Methods, Work-Based Research Project and Dissertation modules.
The pace of study on the BSc Business Management has been deliberately set in order to be practicable alongside the student's continuing work commitments. The programme extends over five years and involves attendance at Leeds University's city-centre campus on one evening per week during term time.
The structure of the degree programme is distinctive in that it is made up of five vertical ‘themed pathways' through which the learner progresses in order to help build knowledge and skills across three horizontal ‘organisational' levels.
