Programme specification:
As a rising economic super-power China is increasingly seen as exerting mounting levels of business and political influence throughout the world. This full-time, 12-month programme is aimed at students who see that as both an opportunity and a challenge and who want to ensure they are 'China ready'. This applies equally to UK and non-UK students wanting to engage with the growing market in which Chinese interests are present, and to Chinese students who wish to gain practical and strategic management expertise as a means of realising their own potential whilst also gaining critical insight on how China is perceived by the outside world through rigorous academic study.
Combining the study of management with both linguistic and cultural training, this programme combines a conceptual review of the Chinese and wider Asian political and social context with a variety of management approaches and processes. Taught by specialists in both East Asian Studies and Management Studies this programme draws on interdisciplinary expertise from two internationally-renowned centres, namely East Asian Studies (based within the UK’s largest School of Languages, Cultures and Societies) and Leeds University Business School, equipping students with a range of management and intercultural skills as a stepping stone to developing their own international career.

- Management modules
