Programme specification:

Different modules in this large and wide-ranging programme have their own particular aims and objectives. However, all taught modules and the Critical Study/dissertation aim to enhance the professional development of experienced teachers. An overall course aim is to ensure that this development takes place in the context and atmosphere of the latest research in education and the particular specialism within the field which the module addresses.

The course is designed to develop the necessary educational understanding, analytical skills and leadership qualities for success in education through to the raising of pupils' achievement and school improvement. The size of the course, the wide range of modules available and the flexible modular structure permit teachers to develop these requirements in all curriculum areas, at all levels and in all phases.
