Entry requirements:

A bachelor degree with a 2:2 (hons) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related subject. A range of international equivalent qualifications is accepted.

English language requirements:
IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in all components. For other English qualifications, read English language equivalent qualifications.

Programme specification:

The programme will meet the needs of the polymer, colorant and fine chemical industries by producing graduates with advanced knowledge and research skills in colour science and in the theory, application and analysis of polymers, fine chemicals and colorants. The programme will generate well-trained, enthusiastic post-graduates having a breadth of practical and academic skills in this subject area at an advanced level.

Graduates will be able to plan experimentation and processes, be skilled in colour application, in synthesis, characterisation and evaluation aspects, and in communication. These skills will be supported by relevant up-to-date knowledge and critical understanding of the polymer, colorant and fine chemical industries and the current and potential future issues that these industries have to tackle.
