Programme specification:

The programme will:

i) offer a learning opportunity that, within the context of the UK's broad spectrum of higher education, is unique in its focus on the nature of mind, as studied through a variety of disciplinary perspectives.

ii) enable a close co-ordination of research and teaching in focussed areas of academic endeavour in philosophy of mind, history of psychology and neuroscience, and cognate areas of psychology.

iii) develop transferable skills in the analysis of mind and critique of theories thereof that will be useful not only in academic careers, but also in the professions of education, business, consultancy, management, marketing, social work and journalism.

Students must study 120 credits in total (a mixture of compulsory and optional or discovery modules). To pass the year they must pass 100 credits including all modules flagged as PFP.
