Entry requirements:
Successful completion of the first two years of an MBChB programme at UK Universities or international equivalent. For international students, proof of English Language proficiency will be required. In line with undergraduate medicine we require a minimum of English GCSE grade B or IELTS 7.5.

Programme specification:
At the end of the programme, students should be able to:
- understand and demonstrate coherent and detailed anatomical knowledge and professional competencies some of which will be informed by recent research/scholarship in anatomy
- deploy accurately standard techniques of analysis and enquiry used in anatomy
- demonstrate a conceptual understanding which enables the development and sustaining of an argument
- describe and comment on particular aspects of recent research and/or scholarship in anatomy
- appreciate the uncertainty, ambiguity and limitations of knowledge in anatomy
- make appropriate use of scholarly reviews and primary sources
- apply their knowledge and understanding in order to initiate and carry out an extended piece of work
The programme will:
- provide the opportunity to study aspects of human anatomy and neuroanatomy in depth
- provide the opportunity to conduct extensive, detailed dissections of human material, working in small groups (2-3) and individually
- wherever possible, set the anatomical content studied in a clinical/surgical context. In the project module, for example, seeking advice and guidance from local clinicians is actively encouraged
- provide the opportunity to conduct extended dissections in a clinically/surgically relevant area. The area studied may be suggested by the student or by staff (the list of projects offered each year will depend on suitability and availability of the necessary resources)
- provide access to an extensive collection of normal and pathological specimens for in-depth individual study
- provide access to unique high resolution scans of extensive histological and histopathological slide collections
