Normally an upper second class degree or non-UK equivalent and English Language IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component.

Programme specification:

The programme will:
- Provide students with advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, policies and practices at the forefront of contemporary understanding of Law and Social Justice;
- Provide students with the opportunity to study Law and Social Justice is an inter-disciplinary context with a range of modules provided by the School of Law as well as the School of Sociology and Social Sciences to an understanding of the extent to which social change promotes / find expression in the reshaping of the law as well as the converse. The programme of necessity reflects this reality in its module options.
- Encourage students to develop other transferrable skills including strong writing skills critical and analytical thinking skills, and oral presentation skills;
Provide students with the opportunity to undertake independent research and to contribute in seminar discussions to the critical evaluation of issues relating to equal treatment; privilege, prejudice and the fair distribution of resources; and
- Require students to complete a 12,000 word dissertation. During the course of their dissertation they will receive supervision and guidance from their academic supervisor.

As members of the School of Law and also the Centre for Law and Social Justice students will be part of a lively academic environment and will be encouraged to take advantage of the many extra curricula opportunities available. Centre for Law and Social Justice events include:
- The Centre for Law and Social Justice Public Seminar Series, during which UK and international scholars give papers practitioners, academics, students, social policy advocates and others;
