Programme specification:
The programme proposes to be a distinctive and highly relevant degree for today's multi-cultural and multi-faith society. It embraces both the traditional Islamic sciences as well as a study of Islam in the modern world.
It is designed for students with no knowledge of Arabic who wish to concentrate on both the religious theological aspects of Islamic culture and civilisation, and the Arabic language.
The year abroad is also a distinctive feature of this programme, allowing students not only to enhance their language competence, but also offers them the possibility to live in a Muslim country, and to mix with Muslim communities.
