Programme specification:

The programme has been designed to be delivered in both campus-based and online versions so as to be available both to local students who wish to come onto campus for face to face supervision, and to students globally.

Through its two forms it offers this wide range of students the opportunity to write a dissertation in which they can examine in depth an area of particular interest to them within the rich field of medical ethics, with the support of a supervisor. It provides an excellent stepping stone to PhD work.

The Research Methods module will be developed as an online module, and will be available in that form to both campus-based and online students, though campus based students may wish to undertake the tutor meetings for this module in face to face form.

The Taught MA in Biomedical & Health Care Ethics exists in both campus-based and online form so it will be possible for all students of the MRes to take advantage of this in order to audit any modules in that programme that are relevant to their dissertation research.
