Learning outcomes
On completion of the year/programme students should have provided evidence of being able to:[intercalated BSc Applied Health Suite common learning objectives]- Describe and explain the organisation and nature of UK health system, considering the international context.- Evaluate the role of the doctor as a teacher and demonstrate evidence of personal learning and teaching skills.- Explain the importance of taking a systematic critical approach to evidence, and employ the skills to perform a literature review.- Demonstrate how to formulate a research question, perform a relevant literature search, critically analyse the literature and undertake a simple research task.- Demonstrate the principles and practicalities of research ethics and research governance.- Apply an understanding of the role of reflection in learning, and construct a personal learning style which recognises and includes reflection.Specific learning objectives to intercalated BSc Applied Health [Clinical Leadership]On completion of the programme, students will be able to interpret and outline:- The integrative role of strategic management, its differing and often conflicting theories, approaches and views- Contemporary applied theory and alternative perspectives and styles in strategy and strategic management- How the structure, design, culture, and working environments of organisations influence strategic management- The resources and capabilities of the organisation in terms of its ability to develop sustainable competitive advantage

Assessment
Achievement will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and will include:All shared intercalated BSc Applied Health modules- Formative assessment by tutors during contact days in the form of verbal feedback- Formative assessment by peers: Peer assessment of teaching occurs as part of the Learning and Teaching module. Feedback is given to each individual student by the group of peers.- Formative feedback in the form of workbooks: These are used as part of the Research and Evaluation Methods Module. - Formative feedback in the form of draft assignments: some module leaders accept draft assignments for guidance prior to submission of the final essay for summative assessment. Other module leaders choose to give feedback in the form of one-to-one discussions with individual students. * Special assessment arrangements will need to be appropriately detailed in your School’s Code of Practice on Assessment.
