Transferable (key) skills

By the end of the programme, students will have had the opportunity to acquire the following abilities:
• The skills necessary to be able to critically reflect on their own learning and demonstrate awareness of resources and techniques they could employ to continue their own development;
• The ability to work effectively with others on an academic task within the field of Science.

Assessment

The final assessments will be based specifically on the core areas of academic language and subject specific literacy. They will ensure that all 4 skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening are covered appropriately for the discipline requirements and as required of a Secure English Language Test (SELT). This programme will also assess students’ developing ability to present a critical argument in the context of an independent academic study using appropriate language.
