Learning outcomes
On completion of the year/programme students should have provided evidence of:- communicate fluently and appropriately, maintaining and high degree of grammatical accuracy, in French, with native or other competent speakers;- demonstrate academic, practical and cultural understanding of the society of the country of residence;- perform appropriate professional tasks or study successfully in the environment of the country of residence.
Transferable (key) skills
Students will have had the opportunity to acquire, as defined in the modules specified for the programme:- oral, written and practical skills in the target language;- interpersonal skills required to live and work successfully in the environment of the foreign country;- report writing skills.
Assessment
Achievement will be assessed (on a Pass/Fail basis) by:- submission of a year-abroad logbook;- satisfactory feedback as to student performance from the foreign educational institution or employer;- successful completion of any academic work set for the student while overseas.
