Learning outcomes

By the end of this programme, participants should be able to:

LO1: identify and implement knowledge-based solutions to complex management and organisational problems (PA1)
LO2: critically evaluate current theoretical management frameworks and models (PA2)
LO3: understand different research philosophies and choose appropriate research methods to critically evaluate complex business and management problems (PA2)
LO4: show a high level of self-awareness and reflection, and demonstrate the ability to identify and address personal and professional development needs (PA3)
LO5: think creatively and innovatively to develop and plan a new business venture (PA4)
LO6: demonstrate high-level oral and written skills when communicating with others (PA5)

Assessment

Achievement for the degree of Master (taught programme) will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and will involve the achievement of the students in:

- evidencing an ability to conduct independent in-depth enquiry within the discipline;
- demonstrating the ability to apply breadth and/or depth of knowledge to a complex specialist area;
- drawing on a range of perspectives on an area of study;
- evaluating and criticising received opinion;
- making reasoned judgements whilst understanding the limitations on judgements made in the absence of complete data.
