Learning outcomes
On completion of this programme, students should have provided evidence of being able to:1. Demonstrate in-depth knowledgeand understanding of the nature and context of international and local conflicts over security and justice; the establishment and functioning of major institutions of interntional and (criminal) justice; the range of international and transnational security concerns, crimes and conflicts; and the principles and theory of research methodology in international and comparative criminal justice.2. Show a specialist knowledge and mastery of techniques relevant to security and justice studies and/or demonstrte a sophisticated understanding of concepts, information and techniques at the forefront of security studies, legal and empirical justice approaches and international relations;3. Exhibit mastery in the exercise of generic and subject-specific intellectual abilities and research skills;4. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of techniques applicable to their own research or advanced scholarship;5. Take a proactive and self-reflective role in working and to develope profesional relationships with others, including professionals which may be relevant to future paths for employment and/or research e.g non-governmental organisations, loal and national policy and government departments and academia;6. Formulate ideas and hyptheses proactively and to develop, implement and execute plans by which to evaluate these.
