Learning outcomes

* Demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of the current issues and challenges of technology and its application
to design, informed by knowledge at the forefront of the design research community.
* Negotiate an innovative design project and develop, implement and execute plans by which to evaluate this.
* Exhibit mastery in the exercise of established research methodologies and methods in order to define a problem
or need and to provide a design solution.
* Undertake an active and self-reflective role in working and to develop professional relationships with others.
* Present effective design solutions displaying sophisticated technical competence and skills.
* Evaluate current issues, research and advanced scholarship in the Design using appropriate critical and creative
methods and frameworks.

Transferable (key) skills

* The skills necessary to undertake a higher research degree and/or for employment in a higher capacity in industry
or area of professional practice.
* Evaluating their own achievement and that of others.
* Self-direction and effective decision making in complex and unpredictable situations.

* Make sound judgements whilst understanding the limitations on judgements made in the absence of complete
data.
