Learning outcomes
• understand and demonstrate coherent and detailed subject knowledge and professional competencies some of which will be informed by recent research/scholarship in the discipline of theatre and performance; • describe, interpret and evaluate performance texts, techniques, processes and events and to engage creatively and critically with a range of critical and theoretical perspectives pertinent to the fields of theatre, performance and the cultural industries;• appreciate the uncertainty, ambiguity and limitations of knowledge in the discipline of theatre and performance;• apply their knowledge and understanding in order to initiate and carry out an extended piece of theoretical work and/or practice based project that demonstrates competency in the creation of performance work or in enterprise;• identify and interpret critically the cultural frameworks that surround performance events;work autonomously both independently and in groups; apply themselves with creativity and imagination; to engage creatively and critically with the possibilities for performance;conform to professional boundaries and norms where applicable.
