Learning outcomes

1. Demonstrate an ability to critically assess the relationship between organisations, the environment
and society appreciating the challenges and opportunities sustainability can provide organisations.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts, information, techniques and analytical skills relevant
to business and sustainability, with the ability to apply these insights when addressing and
communicating complex business problems .
3. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contemporary economic trends and key issues around
the transition to a more sustainable economy.
4. Appreciate the relationships between enterprise, innovation and sustainability.
5. Make a contribution to sustainability initiatives, supporting the design, development, implementation
and management of sustainability initiatives in organisations.
6. Exhibit an advanced understanding of the nature, influence and limits of international policies,
legislation and organizational governance relating to sustainability.
7. Draw on multiple perspectives and use a range of media in order to achieve solutions to sustainability
related problems.
8. Conduct in-depth, independent research using appropriate techniques and processes in order to
critically examine contemporary business and sustainability issues.
