Learning outcomes

At the end of this programme you will be able to demonstrate:
1. The ability to think critically about a range of issues in International Relations including the history and approach of the discipline.
2. Knowledge of institutions, ideas, and key international sectors.
3. An in-depth knowledge of International Relations as a tool for advanced analysis and critique.
4. An advanced competence in the exercise of generic and specialised research techniques in International Relations.
5. A critical and creative evaluation current issues, research and advanced scholarship in the discipline of International Relations.

Skills Learning Outcomes
At the end of this programme you will be able to:
1. Design and develop an independent research project.
2. Use digital skills in a variety of contexts to discover and retrieve information, to produce documents, and to communicate and present findings to others.
3. Communicate your ideas accurately, effectively, and persuasively to individuals and groups.
4. Gather and interrogate information to identify whether it is accurate and relevant.
5. Evaluate your own achievement and that of others.
6. Take a proactive and self-reflective role in working and to develop professional relationships with others.

Assessment

Each module is assessed separately, through assessments that range from long essays to projects and assignments, offering you the opportunity to work in your particular field of interest within each topic area. You will also carry out a dissertation in a research area of your choice.
