Objectives
To provide a simple, practical introduction to the effective use of information technology which will then be used in subsequent modules offered in the Leeds University Business School and in the world of work.Syllabus
- An introduction to the concepts and terminology of IT
- The development of word processing skills for producing reports
- Basic aspects of the use of both spreadsheet and database programs
- Presentation software
- Web page development
- The integrated use of word processing and spreadsheets
- The use of network resources including the world-wide web, bibliographic databases and electronic mail.
