Objectives
On completion of this module, students will be able to: Demonstrate an extended knowledge of techniques in statistics; recognise and use more advanced techniques in statistics; apply more advanced techniques in statistics; analyse issues and solve problems in accounting, finance, economics, econometrics and management; and understand the literature in accounting, finance, economics, econometrics and management which utilises these techniques.Syllabus
Multivariate analysis in accounting, finance, economics, econometrics and management; theory and applications of probability distributions; estimators and estimation and hypothesis testing applied to accounting, finance, economics, econometrics and management.

Opportunities for Formative Feedback
Students are given the opportunity to submit 7 pieces of homework related to the examples sessions, which will be marked weekly throughout the course. Written solutions to the examples will be distributed at each session. There will also be a compulsory mid-term test in week 7, followed by a feedback session in week 9.
