Objectives
On completion of this module, students should be able to:- Demonstrate an awareness of the range of fundamental skills required for musical performance
- Engage practically in music-making
- Work effectively in a group
- Engage in self-directed learning
- Demonstrate an ability to reflect critically on their own progress and achievement
Syllabus
A range of ensemble practical activities supplemented by lectures and workshops introducing relevant practical skills. Examples of practical activities might include: orchestras, choral groups, bands and ensembles. The lectures and workshops
introduce the module, detail relevant reflective and self-assessment aspects and support practical activity being pursued in groups.
