Objectives
On completion of this module, students should:- have produced a substantial project or a group of projects showing knowledge and skill in the exploitation of advanced music technology;
- be capable of documenting this project accurately in an appropriate technical style;
- be capable of leadership in the execution of group work using music technology.
Syllabus
The project work is carried out in collaboration with a supervisor. The project title(s) will be chosen by the student after consultation with the module tutor, and may take the form of a computer program, a major piece of digital recording and editing, the design and implementation of synthesis or signal processing modules, or other appropriate pieces of work.
Technical documentation, commensurate with the size of the project, will accompany the project work. In addition to the individual aspect of their project work, students will also be responsible for documentation on behalf of a group project.
