Module summary

Are you interested in how foreign policy is made and implemented? Do you want to grapple with the intricacies of analysing foreign policy theories and cases? The module begins with the theoretical tools and then goes on to use these tools to analyse cases: the Bay of Pigs crisis, the Falklands war, the June 1967 Six-Day War and the Bosnian War.For further information see the School of Politics and International Studies website. To examine the major theories of foreign policy analysis.

Syllabus

Cognitive, personal, domestic and international values and structures, and other factors explaining foreign policy activity, with considerations of the logic and purposes of explanations.
