Objectives
This module is an integrated component of the Foundations of Accounting module and seeks to supplement the material covered in that module with extensive use of computer based accounting packages. On completion of this module, students will have a solid and practicable working knowledge of financial and management accounting techniques and be confident in using computers for their application.Syllabus
Use of a financial accounting learning computer package (EQL) covering, for example, double entry bookkeeping, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, ledger entries, cash and bank reconciliation's and incomplete records. Use of a spreadsheet programme (Excel) to design and solve financial and management accounting problems.
