To give students the experience of pursuing a philosophical topic in depth through independent research, and producing a text comparable to a substantial article in a philosophical journal.Syllabus
Any philosophical topic may be studied, subject to the availability of an appropriately qualified supervisor.
Teaching methods
At least 3 meetings with a supervisor.
Methods of assessment
A dissertation of 12000 words submitted at the beginning of term 3.
