Module summary
The module provides you with support, guidance and expertise as you complete an independent creative writing research project. Over the course of the module, you will select and develop your topic and form(s), undertake independent research and writing, and produce an extended piece of creative writing, or a portfolio of creative writing, accompanied by a critical reflection. We support you through a combination of a plenary lecture and workshops, and in your one-to-one supervision meetings with your supervisor. Objectives
The module is designed as a capstone to the MA programme in Creative Writing, allowing students to develop their creative writing interests and advance their creative writing skills in a specialist area. The module also develops professional skills in time management, prioritisation, decision making and autonomous working. These aims are achieved through a combination of lecture and workshop sessions, covering topics such as proposal writing, drafting, and research skill; and individual supervision meetings for each student with an assigned supervisor.Learning outcomes
