Module summary

This module introduces you to how arts and humanities disciplines are taught and understood within the UK context. You will be invited to work alongside other students of diverse national origins, and to reflect on your own experience of education, allowing this experience to inform your studies at Leeds. The module explores various models of learning, how the self is formed, and how this relates to our role as individuals and as global citizens. Throughout the module, you will be prepared for further study across a range of arts and humanities disciplines through an inter-disciplinary approach; you will develop an understanding of theories and practices of rhetoric and communication, and their relevance for different audiences.
