Pre-requisite qualifications
Prior to commencing the End Point Assessment (EPA) module, students are required to meet all Gateway Criteria for the Integrated Degree Apprenticeship and the Programme lead and employer must;- Ensure that the student / apprentice is registered with a statutory regulator and has proof of current registration.
- Has achieved English and mathematics qualifications as per general apprenticeship requirements.
- Has achieved 160 credits on the programme prior to commencing the EPA module (NB. Must have been confirmed by School of Healthcare Progress and Awards Board)
- The employer must confirm that the requirements of the apprentice agreement and knowledge, skills and behaviours from the standard have been met in the apprentice's workplace and that the apprentice is ready to progress to the EPA.

This module allows you to demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours associated with achievement of the Advanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeship standard.Objectives
The aim of this module is to provide for independent synoptic assessment of the knowledge skills and behaviours of the Advanced Clinical Practice apprenticeship standard.Learning outcomes

Students will engage with their clinical educator at regular intervals to discuss and demonstrate their progress and readiness for the End-Point Assessment Event.Opportunities for Formative Feedback

This module is graded for University purposes but will be marked on a pass/merit/distinction basis to meet with apprenticeship regulations The Presentation of Practice: At the beginning of the End Point assessment period the apprentice is given a template on which they must write a clinical practice change report. The apprentice is provided with a table, which outlines the structure and content of the report. The apprentice uses the report as the basis for a 25-minute presentation, followed by 10 minutes of questioning. The apprentice is provided with a table, which outlines the expectations of the presentation. The change report and presentation are assessed using criteria provided within the National End Point Assessment Plan. The report and presentation must be provided in electronic format to the independent assessor 5 working days before the assessment event. Re-Sit Opportunities: If an apprentice is unsuccessful in either component they are permitted one resit opportunity, which should be taken within 3 months of the formal confirmation of fail. Only the failed component needs to be retaken. If a resit is required, the maximum grade that can be awarded for the apprenticeship is 50 / pass. The employing organisation must confirm the apprentices' readiness for resit.

This module is graded for University purposes but will be marked on a pass/merit/distinction basis to meet with apprenticeship regulations The Examination: The first 20 minutes of the exam is for reading time. The apprentice is permitted to have with them during the examination three referenced written case studies from their own experience (. i.e their own work.) Each case study must be no larger than 1500 words excluded references and should be presented on a template provided by the School. The case studies must not have been submitted as a component of any summative assessment elsewhere on the programme. (no module associated with the programme uses case study as its summative assessment so this should not be problematic) The examination will consist of 8 questions, which are marked against criteria set within the National End Point Assessment Plan.
