Objectives
Under normal circumstances, for progression to the next academic year each student is required to: 1) satisfactorily complete all of the individual ICU Assessment for Learning activities, and 2) pass the end of year Assessment for Progression examination. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation changes have been to the requirements for progression and all Year 1 students will automatically progress to Year 2 irrespective of any individual ICU outcomes already documented. However, it is the programme’s expectation that students will continue to engage with the learning opportunities provided and ICU leaders will continue to monitor engagement as per usual practice.Syllabus
End of Year Exams (Assessment for Progression)
The Year 1 Assessment for Progression has been cancelled with all Year 1 students progressing to Year 2. In order to support you in your learning and preparation for Year 2, an online formative assessment will be set to help consolidate your learning throughout the year and provide feedback. This will be an open-book formative assessment comprising 120 multiple choice questions, spanning all ICUs. This also includes anatomy, which will be assessed using a combination of questions including pinned cadaveric images to replicate the anatomy spot test
