Objectives

The Year 2 Assessment for Progression assesses the knowledge, skills and attitudes gained during the year. There is one component: a written examination. It is a competency-based assessment, with standard setting using appropriate methods employed and all results evaluated for validity and reliability of the examination. Students are required to pass the written examination (grade D or above) in order to progress to Year 2. The results are also the basis on which eligibility for MBChB with Honours is determined..
