Opportunities for Formative Feedback
A central feature of this module is the ‘get-in’ formative assessment exercise, which encourages students to practically access support and use their skills in production management and risk assessment. Feedback on their practice is given in the two 1 x 1hr practical get-in sessions. Each student will be expected to make contributions to discussion in seminars. Overview, feedback and guidance will be provided by tutors, who will also act as points of contact to ensure the quality and appropriateness of online participation and exchange. Students are allocated to seminar groups in this module with their Academic Personal Tutor as their seminar leader. This offers the advantage of gaining a close relationship with their APT early on in their studies, and allows an ongoing process of formative feedback from their APT on students’ engagement with and understanding of university processes and requirements. - Continual reinforcement of tutor discussions with students in seminars as formative feedback. Methods of assessment
