Module summary
This module gives you the opportunity to engage in an extended course of directed readings and research in an area of staff specialism within Theology and Religious Studies, with individual tutorial guidance and supervision. This is also an opportunity to undertake research in an area that complements and extends, without overlapping, the major field of study that has been elected in your choice of MA programme.Objectives
To produce an independent piece of work on a selected topic within the field of Theology or Religious Studies. This work can take the form of an essay, a PhD proposal, or a literature review. The student should show a good grasp of the chosen field and relevant important literature.Learning outcomes
Detailed understanding of the relevant field, depending on the topic of the research project.
Skills outcomes
The module will develop skills in independent research. Some skills will depend upon the student's choice of topic.
