Module summary
You will attend classes for a level 3 undergraduate module and study the topic in greater depth. You can choose from modules offered on BA Religion, Theology and Society. Students who studied a level 3 module as part of their undergraduate programme, may not choose the same module as their special option.Objectives
This module provides the opportunity to broaden your intellectual base by studying topics which are part of the undergraduate syllabus, and which connect with your interests, but to study them to a higher level of sophistication.Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the module students will have demonstrated the following learning outcomes relevant to the subject:
1- Critically analyse scholarly research in the field underpinning the accompanying module.
2- Relate the analysis to wider issues in the study of religions.
3- Develop and articulate a sophisticated and independent position of your own on the key issues.

Opportunities for Formative Feedback
In addition to the formative feedback available to students in student hours and seminar-based activities, each student is invited to complete one piece of formative work which will receive written feedback. The format this takes will depend on the accompanying module.Students are provided with three hours of supervision by the module leader.
