- Advanced use of (specialist) libraries, archives, bibliographies and electronic resources
- Presentation of a written work of substantial length which meets academic standards in form and content.

Syllabus

In semester two of level 2, students will be asked to submit a proposal to show a critical grasp of the bibliographic and historiographic problems of the intended subject. After approval by the module team this will lead to the production, under supervision, of a detailed proposal or equivalent of ca 4,000 words (December) and a dissertation (April).

The dissertation is divided into chapters and has a length of 13,000-15,000 words (excluding footnotes, bibliography and appendices).
