- Explain the physiological concepts of structure and function, and homeostasis, using examples drawn from the principal body systems and functions.
- Explain how genetic and biochemical approaches are involved in exploring cell biology related to Biomedical Sciences
Assignment 2 -20 credits

- Explain how concepts covered link to concepts covered elsewhere in the programme
- Describe the core concepts of pharmacokinetics & pharmacodynamics
- Explain the key principles of clinical pharmacology
- Recall examples of drugs and how they can be used to treat and modify the pathophysiology of various common diseases and conditions.
- Relate how drugs are discovered and developed within the modern pharmaceutical industry.
- Explain the neuroscience concepts of structure and function within the nervous system at the cellular, circuit, and network-level.
- Describe how structure and function can be measured experimentally
- Describe how structure and function can change during development and pathological dysfunction
- Explain how concepts covered link to concepts covered elsewhere in the programme
Syllabus
Opportunities for Formative Feedback
The students will receive formative feedback on Evidence Based report 1 to them submit as the summative version, Evidence based reports will test some of the LO’s but not all (all are assessed formatively see application of knowledge assessment block)Methods of assessment
