Objectives

On completion of this module, students should be able to:
- conceive, and present, a fully worked out proposal for a 30'00" fictional television film;
- carry out and present the appropriate research;
- produce a well-structured and coherent script based on the above, using the appropriate television techniques and conventions and the relevant standard layouts.

Syllabus

This module aims to develop students' fictional programme-making abilities as they have been studied at the first and second levels.

Students work essentially on their own as individuals, but under the guidance of a supervisor. They are required to develop a short programme proposal along with a research brief and a script for a 30'00" fictional film.

After the initial approval of the idea by their supervisor, students will work under supervision during Semesters 1 and 2, attending such classes and submitting such written work as is required by the module.
