Module summary
- Do you want to improve your employability? - Increase your awareness of your own skills/interests and personal characteristics so that you can impress a future employer? This module will prepare you to compete in the graduate job market, whether you are applying for work placements or graduate jobs. This is a practical and highly participative module with employer involvement run by the University's Professional Career Consultants.Assessments are continual, relevant and useful with no exams. This is a highly participative module which requires attendance at all sessions.To do this module you don't need any previous experience or special skills. In order to meet the learning outcomes no student will be permitted to join the module after the end of sessjon three.Objectives
On completion of this module, students should be able to:- understand effective career decision making;
- have an understanding of the graduate marketplace;
- prepare to engage with the work place (i.e. work placements, applications, interviews etc);
- identify what is important to them in making a career decision;
- become aware of the resources, support & opportunities available to complete this.

Students will be encouraged to make full use of the Careers Centre facilities to aide their progress during the course of the module.Any further issues would be addressed during the interactive workshop sessions.
