This module is also suitable for you if you have a GCSE or A2 of the CEFR and wish to maintain your current level. If you already have an A level or CEFR B1 then this module is not for you. It is a skills discovery module, which means that it can be taken in any year of your programme for which you have discovery credits available, with the credits counting towards progression and award. If there is another A2 module available, they can be taken in either order, one or two at a time.If this module runs in both semesters, you can take it in either semester 1 or semester 2 but not both. Objectives
Through this module you will study the Japanese needed to communicate in everyday social and practical contexts through topics such as shopping, eating out, education, transport, a trip, and visiting someone’s home. You will learn relevant vocabulary, become more comfortable with the sounds of the language, and gain a good basic knowledge of Japanese grammar in the present, past and future tenses. You will have opportunities to hear and use Japanese as a practical classroom language.
